ISIS, Soldiers of Satan
What better description than Soldiers of Satan for an organization who commits the horrible acts ISIS does? Below are just a few of the horrors:
Extremists from the Islamic State have killed at least 500 people, including women and children, Iraqi officials said. Some of the victims were buried alive.
The killings reported by Iraqi Human Rights Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani to Reuters add to a long list of atrocities reportedly committed by the radical group in Iraq and neighboring Syria, where it wants to create a caliphate.
"We have striking evidence obtained from Yazidis fleeing [their ancient home city of] Sinjar and some who escaped death, and also crime scene images that show indisputably that the gangs of the Islamic State have executed at least 500 Yazidis after seizing Sinjar," Sudani said. "Some of the victims, including women and children were buried alive in scattered mass graves in and around Sinjar," he added. Some 300 women were kidnapped as slaves, he said.
The Islamic State has threatened a fresh wave of violence against the Yazidi religious minority in Iraq, saying they will execute 300 families whom they have surrounded in northern Iraq.
It came after the jihadist militant group took hostage hundreds of Yazidi women in their stronghold city of Mosul yesterday, amid warnings that they had 'vicious plans' for their captives.
Fighters for the Islamic State (IS), formerly known as ISIS, continue to lay siege to a mountain near the Turkish border, where as many as 50,000 of the minority - considered apostates and devil-worshippers by IS - have been holed up without food or water.
ISIS is believed to be preparing an "official" response to the US Airstrikes:
The Islamic State, formally the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, has yet to publish an official response to the US's military strikes against it in Iraq, but sources close to the IS announced on Twitter Friday that IS leader Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi will shortly be issuing an announcement declaring the beginning of "jihad against America."
"Pro-IS figures, on the other hand, began rallying over social media" immediately following President Obama's announcement Thursday night that he authorized air strikes against IS to protect US interests and minority Christians and other religious groups threatened by the savage jihadist organization, said the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), which monitors jihadist websites.
MEMRI said, “The Hashtag #Obama_announces_bombing_Islamic_State" (in Arabic) was used by pro-IS elements to respond to the announcement, and call to target American interests and people and to bring the war home.”
"Today is Mosul, tomorrow is Seattle," wrote one individual on Twitter.
There were also reports of children being beheaded, crucifixions and amputations. One said trapped Yazidi women were being raped while their husbands were slaughtered.
As each town is taken, anyone opposing the Islamic State is either killed or given the option to convert to Islam and pay a fine. Others try to abandon their homes and flee. Six weeks ago, the Islamic State executed at least 160 prisoners in just four days in the northern city of Tikrit, publishing pictures of men forced to lie with their hands tied behind their backs while they were shot.
A final set of images showed the victims’ bodies piled up.
The brutal tactics of the group, which broke from Al Qaeda, are the work of leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
Anglican Vicar of Baghdad: ‘Child I baptized cut in half by ISIS’
Anglican Communion News Service] The five-year-old son of a founding member of Baghdad’s Anglican church was cut in half during an attack by the Islamic State1 on the Christian town of Qaraqosh.
In an interview Aug. 8, an emotional Canon Andrew White told ACNS that he christened the boy several years ago, and that the child’s parents had named the lad Andrew after him.
“I’m almost in tears because I’ve just had somebody in my room whose little child was cut in half,” he said. “I baptized his child in my church in Baghdad. This little boy, they named him after me – he was called Andrew.”
ISIS is a much bigger problem than most realize. I encourage everyone to go to do their research as I have. They do already have supporters in the USA. They are in Gaza and have said Hamas is to moderate. They are already operating in Lebanon and have committed a least one bombing there.
These Soldiers of Satan must be stopped!
