Death Raises Concern About the Safety of Asia Bibi

Here we go again.  This is happening way to often!  I receive approximately 500 - 600 emails a day.  The majority of them have to do with the persecution of Christians in predominately Muslim countries. These events are a direct result of Sharia Law. These events are commanded in the Qu'ran.  C.A.I.R., ISNA, and other Muslim organizations who are fighting the anti-Sharia Laws in the U.S.A. would like you to believe otherwise.  The A.C.L.U. and other liberal groups who sue and or protest to stop anti-Sharia laws would have you believe otherwise.  The misguided Pastor's who embrace "Chrislam" or interfaith dialouge would like you to believe otherwise.  After you read the article below from ICC The Persecuted Church we will look at the facts.

Another Christian Accused of Blasphemy Dies in Pakistani Jail
Death Raises Concern About the Safety of Asia Bibi

Washington, D.C. (September 20, 2011) – International Christian Concern (ICC) has learned that on September 9, a Christian man accused of blasphemy died in prison of a treatable disease after officials denied him proper medical treatment.

The post-mortem report indicated that Aslam Masih died due to Dengue virus. A local Christian human rights organization asked prison officials to provide Masih with proper treatment, but the officials cited security concerns to deny Masih such treatment.

Masih was arrested by the police in the beginning of 2010 after two members of the Tablighi Jammat (an Islamic missionary group) falsely accused him of blasphemy. The police initially released Masih due to lack of evidence, but later re-arrested him after facing pressure from radical Muslims.

In the past, Christians accused of blasphemy have been killed in jail or while still in court. On March 15, Pakistani officials reported that Qamar David had died of a heart attack. However, his lawyer maintained that David was murdered due to the blasphemy accusation. On September 20, 2009, Falish Masih was also found dead inside his prison cell. Though he had severe wounds all over his body, the Pakistani police claimed that Falish committed suicide. On July 19, 2010, Muslim extremists shot and killed Rashid and Sajjid Emmanuel, two brothers accused of blasphemy, outside a court house in Faisalabad.

“I condemn the prison authorities for not providing medical treatment to Aslam Masih and urge Punjab government to constitute (an) inquiry committee to investigate (the) death of Aslam Masih. The death of Aslam Masih in jail has raised questions of safety and security for the life of Asia Bibi, a Christian mother sentenced to death and in jail waiting for her appeal to be heard in Lahore High Court,” said Dr. Nazir Bhatti in a statement to ICC. Dr. Bhatti is the president of the Pakistan Christian Congress.

ICC’s Regional Manager for South Asia, Jonathan Racho, said, “Aslam Masih is the latest victim of the brutal blasphemy law in Pakistan. Once again, Pakistan has shown its complete contempt for the lives of its religious minorities. We urge the international community to pressure Pakistan protect the rights of Christians and other vulnerable groups in the country."
From The Qu'ran:
Quran (4:89) - "They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks."

Quran (5:33)  - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement"

Quran (8:12)  - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"

Quran (8:59-60)  - "And let not those who disbelieve suppose that they can outstrip (Allah's Purpose). Lo! they cannot escape.  Make ready for them all thou canst of (armed) force and of horses tethered, that thereby ye may dismay the enemy of Allah and your enemy."

Quran (9:5)  - "So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them."

The list goes on and on in the Qu'ran.  The Quran contains at least 109 verses that call Muslims to war with nonbelievers.  Some are quite graphic, with commands to chop off heads and fingers and kill infidels wherever they may be hiding.  Muslims who do not join the fight are called  'hypocrites' and warned that Allah will send them to Hell if they do not join the slaughter. This doesn't even begin to take into account all the verses of the Hadith that call for violence and death for Christians and Jews.

Now lets take a look at what the Sunni Sharia Law Manual, "The Reliance of The Traveller"  says about Blasphemy and Apostasy.

o8.1  When a person who has reached puberty and is sane voluntarily apostatizes from Islam, he deserves to be killed.

o8.2  In such a case, it is obligatory for the caliph ( or his representative) to ask him to repent and return to Islam. If he does, it is accepted from him, but if he refuses he is immediately killed.

The list of things considered Apostasy or Blasphemy is very long.  As the Reliance of the Traveller says at the end of the list, "There are others, for the subject is nearly limitless." Please don't let yourselves be misled about this book or Sharia Law.  People will try to tell you Sharia is not that way now, that was centuries ago. Wrong!  This book was written in 1991 and revised in 1994.  It has the seal of approval from alAzhar University in Egypt, the leading Sunni Muslim University in the world.

As long as Sharia law exists there will be incidents like the one in the above article from ICC.  As long as Sharia exists there will be terrorism, honor killings, slavery, etc.  According to the Pew Research Center 21% of U.S. Muslims say there is either a lot or a fair amount of support for terrorism among U.S. Muslims. 30% says there is not too much support, only 34 % say there is no support and 15% say they don't know. Those statistics are troubling.  As long as Sharia is taught in the Mosques I fear those statistics will remain high. Contact your elected officials. Let them know you support anti Sharia Laws!

Please Remember to Pray for Asia Bibi and all the other Christians imprisoned in Muslim countries!
