Islam in 1972, We Should Have Learned!

Islam in 1972, We Should Have Learned!
Do you remember what you were doing in 1972. I was in the 7th Grade at E.B.Erwin Jr. High School in Center Point, a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama. Life was good. My family went to Walt Disney World that summer. It was the first summer it was open. I played football for the 120 pound Center Point Vikings. Roller skated at Skate Haven and went to the Capri theater to watch movies with my Girlfriends! When the family wasn’t on camping trips I went to Center Point First Baptist, and if I remember correctly that was also the year I was Baptized.

Lets take a look at what Islam was doing then, and question why our Political Leaders and Church Leaders didn’t realize what was coming:

Jan. 26 - Bomb explodes on a Yugoslav plane killing all but one passenger. On January 26, 1972, a Yugoslav Airlines departed from Copenhagen for Belgrade (via Zagreb) with 28 passengers and crew. At an altitude of approximately 33,000 feet, a bomb in the cargo section planted by the Ustashe Croatian Islamic separatist group exploded. The plane disintegrated and fell into the mountains below.

May 30 - Ben Gurion Airport, Israel attack killed 26, and wounded 78 U.S. citizens from Puerto Rico. On May 30, 1972, a three-man hit squad from the Japanese Red Army arrived at the Lod Airport in Tel Aviv, Israel, via Air France Flight 132. They were dressed in business suits and carried what appeared to be violin cases. The operation was planned and supported by the General Command of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP-GC).

As the three men passed the ticket counter area, they suddenly pulled automatic weapons from their cases and began to spray the crowd indiscriminately. As they changed magazines in their weapons, the men threw hand grenades into the mass of sprawling bodies. One of the terrorists, Yasuyuki Yasuda, ran out of ammunition and was cut down by his companions. A second terrorist, Tsuyoshi Okudaira, committed suicide by pulling the pin ona grenade and detonating it against his body. The third terrorist, Kozo Okamoto, was captured while attempting to flee from the terminal.

Twenty-six people were killed in the massacre and 78 were injured. Sixteen of the dead were not even Israelis or Jews, they were Puerto Ricans in Israel on a pilgrimage. Okamoto is the younger brother of Takedia Okamoto, one of the JRA terrorists who hijacked a Japan Airlines flight to North Korea in 1970. As the sole survivor of the Lod assassin team, Okamoto was sentenced to life imprisonment in Israel. He was released, however, as part of a 1983 prisoner exchange with Palestinian militant factions. He reportedly dropped from sight in Beirut, supposedly to reunite with his former comrades in the JRA.

Sept. 5 - Palestinian terrorists seize 11 athletes in the Olympic Village in Munich, Germany, 9 hostages and 5 terrorists killed, plus David Berger from Cleveland. The Munich Massacre was a terrorist attack during the 1972 Olympic Games. Eight Palestinian terrorists killed two members of the Israeli Olympic team and then took nine others hostage. The situation was ended by a huge gunfight that left five of the terrorists and all of the nine hostages dead.

Closer to home, in New York City, New York, we had our own trouble brewing. Below are some exerpts from Logan's Warning as well as a link to the site so you can read the entire article.

April 14, 1972, was one of the darkest days in the NYPD history. Patrolmen Phil Cardillo and Vito Navarra were riding in 28 sector George. They were the first RMP to respond to a 10‑13 on the second floor at 102 West 116 Street.

After arriving and entering the building which was a mosque they questioned about 10 muslims at the front desk about the call. Suddenly the muslims shouted “Allah Akhbar”, more muslims came from rooms, then the officers were beaten and stomped by numerous black muslims. A minute or two later Patrolmen Vic Padilla and Ivan Negron of the 25 pct. arrived and were also badly beaten and knocked to the ground.

Knapp called Commissioner Pat Murphy and advised him of the turmoil inside and outside the mosque. While Knapp was talking on the phone he heard shouting. He turned and saw Louis Farrakhan and Charlie Rangel leading a large group of muslims down the basement stairs. Farrakhan was shouting that all the cops must leave the temple.

I must confess, I wasn't surprised by Louis Farrakhans involvement, but I was by Charlie Rangels involvement.  One of New Yorks finest lost his life, others were injured, remember that when you read the next paragraph:

A few days after Cardillo was buried. Deputy Commissioner Ben Ward was quoted in the Amsterdam news: I believe that my investigation has pointed out, at least to my satisfaction, that there were some errors made on the part of the police. For the errors, and for the consequence of those errors, I apologize to minister Farrakhan.”

Where has apologizing to Islamic Terrorist got us?  We can't negotiate or apologize to evil.  Even Jesus Christ when sending out the Disciples said, "  Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town. If people do not welcome you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave their town, as a testimony against them.” 6So they set out and went from village to village, preaching the gospel and healing people everywhere. Luke 9:4-6 NIV.

As Christians we are to carry The Word of God to our Muslim Brothers and Sisters.  We are to "Share the good news of The Gospel" with them.  We are to love the sinner, but hate the sin.  Islam is a sin. Islam is evil.

Does this mean all Muslims are evil? No.  Are all Muslims terrorists? Absolutely NOT! Are all Muslims bad people? No, but they do follow a false prophet and the antichrist.  As Christians we must Pray for them to be led away from the evil of Islam and to the Love of Jesus Christ!
