What would Jesus say about the building of Mosqes?

What would Jesus say about the building of Mosques?
I’ve been asked numerous times be well intentioned but mis-guided Christians why people who call themselves Christians could be against Muslims building their houses of worship or Mosques. Invariably they will say, “Jesus taught us to love everyone so how can you be a Minister and oppose the building of Mosque?” . The answer as with all of life’s questions can be found in The Word of God, in The Holy Bible. First we have to look at a few facts about Islam.
1. Jesus, or Isa in the Qur’an is merely a man who was a Prophet not a part of The Holy Trinity.
2. According to the Qur’an Jesus was never Crucified therefore no Resurrection.
3. According to the Qur’an Jesus will come back and give Christians and Jews the opportunity to become Muslims or be thrown into “ the lake of fire”.
4. According to the Qur’an Jesus was formed of dust in “ similitude of Adam”.
We have established Islam denies Jesus is the Son of God, or God in human form. We have established Islam denies the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. What does Scripture say about anyone who denies those facts?
1 John 2:18-25New International Version 1984 (NIV1984)
Warning Against AntichristsDear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist—he denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also. See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is what he promised us—even eternal life.

2 John 1 New International Version 1984 (NIV1984)
2 John 1The elder,
To the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in the truth—and not I only, but also all who know the truth— 2 because of the truth, which lives in us and will be with us forever: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father’s Son, will be with us in truth and love. It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us. And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him. Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work. I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete. The children of your chosen sister send their greetings.
Now we have established the fact that Islam is the antichrist!Given the above facts and Scriptures, lets look into The Scripture to see what Jesus would say about the building of a place of worship for false prophets or the antichrist.
1 Timothy 1:2-4New International Version (NIV)
2 To Timothy my true son in the faith:
Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
Timothy Charged to Oppose False Teachers3 As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain people not to teach false doctrines any longer 4 or to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. Such things promote controversial speculations rather than advancing God’s work—which is by faith.

1 Timothy 6:1-3New International Version (NIV)
1 Timothy 61 All who are under the yoke of slavery should consider their masters worthy of full respect, so that God’s name and our teaching may not be slandered. 2 Those who have believing masters should not show them disrespect just because they are fellow believers. Instead, they should serve them even better because their masters are dear to them as fellow believers and are devoted to the welfare of their slaves.
False Teachers and the Love of MoneyThese are the things you are to teach and insist on. 3 If anyone teaches otherwise and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching,
2 Timothy 2:13-15New International Version (NIV)

13 if we are faithless,
he remains faithful,
for he cannot disown himself.
Dealing With False Teachers14 Keep reminding God’s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen. 15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
2 Peter 2:1-3New International Version (NIV)
2 Peter 2
False Teachers and Their Destruction1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3 In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
Isaiah 44:24-26New International Version (NIV)
Jerusalem to Be Inhabited24 “This is what the LORD says—
your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb:
I am the LORD,
the Maker of all things,
who stretches out the heavens,
who spreads out the earth by myself,
25 who foils the signs of false prophets
and makes fools of diviners,
who overthrows the learning of the wise
and turns it into nonsense,
26 who carries out the words of his servants
and fulfills the predictions of his messengers,
who says of Jerusalem, ‘It shall be inhabited,’
of the towns of Judah, ‘They shall be rebuilt,’
and of their ruins, ‘I will restore them,’
Jeremiah 14:13-15New International Version (NIV)
13 But I said, “Alas, Sovereign LORD! The prophets keep telling them, ‘You will not see the sword or suffer famine. Indeed, I will give you lasting peace in this place.’”
14 Then the LORD said to me, “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds. 15 Therefore this is what the LORD says about the prophets who are prophesying in my name: I did not send them, yet they are saying, ‘No sword or famine will touch this land.’ Those same prophets will perish by sword and famine.
Jeremiah 23:15-17New International Version (NIV)
15 Therefore this is what the LORD Almighty says concerning the prophets:
“I will make them eat bitter food
and drink poisoned water,
because from the prophets of Jerusalem
ungodliness has spread throughout the land.”
16 This is what the LORD Almighty says:
“Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you;
they fill you with false hopes.
They speak visions from their own minds,
not from the mouth of the LORD.
17 They keep saying to those who despise me,
‘The LORD says: You will have peace.’
And to all who follow the stubbornness of their hearts
they say, ‘No harm will come to you.’
Matthew 7:14-16New International Version 1984 (NIV1984)
14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
A Tree and Its Fruit15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
Matthew 24:10-12New International Version 1984 (NIV1984)
10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,
Matthew 24:23-25New International Version 1984 (NIV1984)
23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
There are many more Scriptures that deal with false teachings, false prophets, etc.., but I think I’ve covered it well enough. So this brings us back to the original question, “ What would Jesus say about building Mosques?”
I don’t think Jesus would want “houses of worship” to be built that:
A. Proselytizes and advocates the worship of a false prophet.
B. Whose members deny that Jesus is the Son of God.
C. That advocates Sharia law which calls for among many evil things, the conversion or destruction of Christians and Jews. That calls for death for Blasphemy of the false prophet, or for apostasy from Islam.
I believe Christians or Jews who advocate for the building of Mosques have simply not invested the time to study Islam. It requires only a little study to realize Christians should be sharing The Word of God with Muslims instead of advocating the building of more Mosque’s!
God’s Blessings to you all!

  1. I don't think Jesus would care for Islam at all. Great post!
